Marcelle Zimcosky-Murray, AGACNP-BC

Marcelle Zimcosky-Murray, AGACNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner at University of Virginia Plastic Surgery. She works with our plastic and reconstructive surgery patients, enhancing continuity of care between the inpatient and outpatient settings. She’s experienced in both general plastic surgery and wound management.

Education & Training

Marcelle earned her Bachelor of Science degree at West Virginia University, where she worked at WVU’s Ruby Memorial Hospital in the surgical trauma intensive care unit (ICU). She also gained experience in the medical and neuroscience intensive care units and became certified in both critical care and trauma.

Marcelle relocated to Charlottesville, VA, and attended the University of Virginia for her master’s degree. During this time, she worked in the surgical trauma intensive care unit as a registered nurse at UVA Medical Center. After earning a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, she became board certified in the Commonwealth of Virginia. 

Marcelle joined the UVA Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2023, continuing her passion for patient care and surgical management. 

In her spare time, Marcelle enjoys spending quality time with her fiancé, family, and friends, traveling to new places, and hiking.
